Our meeting on the 22nd of March has been and gone, with the day being a great success, our lights and timing issues had a little hiccup with the main PC deciding it would'nt play ball anymore. After an hour delay to the start of Qualifying i finally finished rebuilding a PC to begin the days racing. With this out of the way we had a pretty much flawless day. The eventual winner for the Big Bucks Shootout was Stuart McBain in his Gemini for the second year running and Keith Hards being runner up in his 69 Camaro. The winner for Super Sedan was Darly Chamberlain in the Operation Drag Right XR6T ute, he donated the prize monies back to the club for a terrific day. Runner-up in Super Sedan was Dave Curtis in his 90 VN Commodore with a Gen III running gear. The Bikes final got the numbers up for a cash prize and full seeding draw which was excellent to see and good for all the bikes on the day. The winner for the bikes was Pete Murray on his ZXR 1200S took the win from Chris Sims on his Yamaha V-Max 1200 V Four. Am pleased to see that the bike competitor numbers are growing again and some excellent racing coming from them each meet they are there, hopefully in the future we can all see a full field for the bikes taking on the cars for the numbers. We had a bit of excitment during the days racing with Leanne Braggs in her 454 Chev Cortina having a loose just on the finish line but she brought it back under control with the greatest of ease and continued to race confidently for the rest of the proceedings. Our next race day is the 26th of April and all the information is on the flyer above, hope to see you all there either racing or as spectators. The latest Pictures for the day can be found in the Gallery Section in the top left of this page.
